2021 IBS Exhibit Space Cancellation Policy

Policy last updated on August 20, 2020. NAHB may publish further updates from time to time.

NAHB remains optimistic that the COVID-19 pandemic will not impact the International Builders' Show (IBS), scheduled for February 9-11 in Orlando. We continue working hard to provide the building industry with another successful IBS in 2021.

Prior to October 1, 2020: For companies that elect to withdraw their 2021 IBS exhibit space application the following will apply:

  • Credit –
    • NAHB will automatically apply the 25% non-refundable portion of the company’s 2021 IBS exhibit space payment as a credit towards the cost of their 2022 IBS exhibit space.
    • The company may also elect to apply more than 25% as a credit towards the cost of their exhibit space for the 2022 IBS.
    • The 25% will be forfeited should the company choose not to exhibit in the 2022 IBS.
  • Refund – Exhibitors will continue to have the option to receive a refund for any amount they have already paid NAHB for their 2021 exhibit space that is in excess of the 25% non-refundable portion of their deposit (NAHB will process refunds within 60 days of receipt of the exhibitor’s written request).

After September 30, 2020: For companies that elect to withdraw their 2021 IBS exhibit space application the following will apply:

  • Credit –
    • NAHB will automatically apply 100% of their 2021 IBS exhibit space payment as a credit towards the cost of their 2022 IBS exhibit space.
    • The 25% will be forfeited should the company choose not to exhibit in the 2022 IBS

Exhibitor Priority Points (pre- or post-October 1):

  • Companies that are paid in full and elect to rollover their entire payment to be applied as a credit towards the cost of their 2022 IBS exhibit space will still receive the priority points that would have been earned based on their 2021 IBS contracted exhibit space.
  • Exhibitors that have not paid in full or elect to receive a refund will not receive priority points relative to the 2021 IBS, however their overall point balance will now not be reduced.
